CONVENTIONAL FLAT CEILINGS WITH TILE OR METAL ROOF
Granulated Rockwool will fill all the nooks and crannies and create a full and even covering of insulation for all flat ceiling areas.

Granulated Rockwool can be pneumatically blown into any low, confined or awkward roof space.

"Rake – Fill Insulation" is the name given to Granulated Rockwool when applied to situations where there is no ceiling void. "Rake – Fill" can be blown in and be in contact with the underside of the roof (concrete or clay tiles) without damage to the ceiling below.

CAVITY WALL – THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC INSULATION
AIS Granulated Rockwool has been specially developed for double brick and brick veneer cavity wall insulation. The Rockwool is hydrophobic. (repels water) The water repellent properties and fibre structure ensure that water will not move across or up the cavity, whilst at the same time the fibrous nature of the Rockwool allows the cavity to breath.

FIRE SAFETY
AIS Granulated Rockwool has a melting point of over 1000oC and is therefore ideal in roof spaces where protection against spread of fire is essential.
When tested to Australian Standard 1530 Part 3, AIS Granulated Rockwool will give the best possible result – a zero rating to all four indices:-

Rockwool is the only insulation to give a NON COMBUSTIBLE rating when tested to international standards ASTM E-136-82, DIN 4102, BS 476 Pt 4 – 1970, ISO R1182.

ACOUSTIC CONTROL
Rockwool has been proven over the years to be one of the best materials for effective sound insulation.
Granulated Rockwool works in two ways to reduce noise:
(1) impeding the transmission of sound by the nature of the structure.
(2) absorbing the sound at the surface of the product.

BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
AIS Granulated Rockwool material contains no nutrients or and therefore provides no basis for growth of fungi, moulds or bacteria, nor does it attract insects, rodents or vermin.
COMPARATIVE STUDY
