Step 3. Divide the plan into rectangles/triangles to suit the measurements, as per the example below:

Step 4. Calculate areas of the rectangles/triangles and add them up (as above). This gives the Gross Area.

Step 5. Decide on the R-Value you require, or let us decide based upon your suburb.

Step 6. Write this information down so that you do not forget it.
